This should be dated 7-1-13. This is out of order. It wouldn't publish last week.
Hey Momma!
I'm glad I got to stay in Tamworth too. I love it here. The ward is so awesome and our investigators are too. I do miss Elder Lewis, though. He's so awesome. We got along really well.
Elder Oukounghae, I think, I can't cheat this time. He's awesome. So his family moved to England, because his dad got some work in London. He was born into the church. His parents are members, but his mom passed away when he was a kid. He has a step mom, but doesn't really get along with her. His dad moved here first, but then brought the rest of his family over. He's not really a gangster, but he knows a lot of them, and a bunch are his friends. He said he didn't want to get involved with that stuff. I'll take a picture of us this week. I forgot my camera today, so I don't have any pictures for you, but I'll have some next time. He's 5'7'' So I'm the tall guy now. He talks in Londoner accent, but not cockney or whatever that word is. He doesn't speak proper british. So Brother Dowling will be getting after him as well. He says Tuesday, not chooseday. He's really cool, and I like him a lot, but we don't really have much in common. But we do get along. Uhh.. He's really into MMA (mixed martial arts) but hasn't done it himself. He's a boxer, 12-0 with 7 KOs. So he can fight. Umm.. He's the oldest of five kids. He's got two little brothers and two little sisters. He wants to be a professional boxer, and if not, maybe a computer engineer. Haha, those are two very different things.
That's super cool about getting Becky's work done so fast. I really like that a lot. But geez. That's the weirdest thing. I still can't believe it. Dane chose a good day to get married. Does he realize all the similarities? Peru, August 30, marrying a beautiful girl..
Mom. That's not camping. Sorry.
I am glad that everyone got on. That's a miracle isn't it? You're not allowed to be translated with them. Sorry. I need you.
Lexi is going to be an amazing missionary. I hope the whole fiance thing didn't hurt her too much. She's such an amazing girl, I bet she handled it like a champ. Tell her to write me, and give her a hug for me, tell her good luck. Missions are hard. But they're the best. Isn't it weird that she'll be home before me? After this transfer and the next one, I'll finally have caught up to the she-greenies.
I'm jealous about the beach. That sounds so fun. I love telling people about it. A lot of people actually know San Clemente. What road is the beach house on? There's a new sister missionary in my zone from San Diego, and she said that her family had a beach house there too. Hers is right on the beach I think. It was called Beach Rd. I think.
Anyways, this week has been really good. Kirsty is the most elect investigator that has ever happened. She's accepting the Gospel so well, and the ward absolutely loves her and her little boy Alfy. She's getting baptized on July 27. So that'll be good. No word on who's doing the ordinances, but I have an inkling that I'll be involved. She's also letting her sister move in with her, and we're going to start teaching her too. Her sister is 15, and we haven't met her yet, but she's apparently pretty interested in the Church. Booyah. We also got a new investigator this week. He's an interesting guy. His name is Paul, and he's originally from Ghana, missionaries have taught him before, but he never got baptized. He let us right in though. So we'll see how that goes. I think it'll go well.
We're having a Fourth of July dinner at the Southall's. (Bishop's family.) They were really excited to celebrate it. I thought that was funny, but it'll be really fun. Sister Southall and her sister Maddie are crafty and got excited about making pinteresty Fourth of July stuff. So I think it'll be a good time.
Well, that's about it this week. I've offically shed my greenie skin. That's good. I really haven't felt like a greenie since about the first week. Oh, I thought I would tell you about this. Haha so there's this kid from my MTC group named Elder Packer and he was told that if he counted the days on his mission it would take forever. He wants it to last, so he's counting. Either way, on July 4th, I'll have been out for 100 days! Woo! That's a pretty long time! Do you miss me yet? or has the going away party not even ended?
Haha, I hope you miss me, cause I miss you.
I love you Momma, you're always in my prayers, just like I know I'm in yours.
Your little boy,
Elder Smart
